Occupational Therapists – Level 1

Level I - Band 8 to SO1:  £22,434 - £27,394 pa

Progression to Level II - SO2 to PO1 £28,203 - £31,288 pa after 2 years following successful competency assessment

 

2 x 37 hours per week

Based within the Bradford Metropolitan District

 

This is a new post to supplement the current establishment as they take on the additional role of reviewing care packages

 

You will work within a busy and dynamic Occupational Therapy Team that offers a wide range of experience, support and development opportunities. You will utilise the full range of your Occupational Therapy skills to enable older people, people with disabilities, vulnerable people, children and their families to live safely within the community with a good quality of life. You will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues in the Council, the NHS and the voluntary sector. You will be involved in developing a modern care service in line with current legislation and best practice.

 

The role requires the OT to determine service user’s eligibility for provision of services according to the relevant legislation. To undertake holistic assessments of service users’ needs. To be responsible for requisitioning specialist community equipment, adaptations and housing options and tasks connected to this e.g. demonstration of equipment, liaison with adaptations providers particularly regarding Disabled Facilities Grants. To contribute and make recommendations on the assessment and provision of care packages by providing an occupational therapy perspective.

 

An essential requirement is that you have a degree in Occupational Therapy or a Diploma of the College of Occupational Therapists and that you are registered with the Health Professions Council.

 

An enhanced disclosure check with the Criminal Records Bureau will be undertaken for this post.
