Visitor Information Centre Assistant (Temporary)

Band 4/5  £15,238 - £17,547 pa (Pro rata for Part Time Posts)

 Post one: 19.5 per week pro rata

 April – September 21hrs per week, October – March 18hrs per week

 Based at Saltaire Visitor Information Centre

 Post two: 16.25hrs per week pro rata

 April – September 17.5hrs per week, October – March 15hrs per week

 Based at Ilkley Visitor Information Centre

 To include regular Weekend working

TEMPORARY FOR 6 MONTHS

Post one based at Saltaire Visitor Information Centre and post two based at Ilkley Visitor Information Centre, to work across the district Visitor Information Centres in Haworth, Bradford, Saltaire and Ilkley as required.

Bradford District welcomes visitors from far and wide and an opportunity has arisen for two Visitor Information Assistants, one who will be based at Saltaire Visitor Information Centre and the other at Ilkley Visitor Information Centre, but will work across the district as required in Haworth, Bradford, Ilkley and Saltaire. 

We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills, retail experience and a real passion for the Bradford district. You will be working within a small team providing visitor information, responding to wide range of enquiries in person, by telephone, email and post. You will also be involved in keeping online information updated including on our tourism website www.visitbradford.com.

The successful applicant with have GCSE English or equivalent, or 2 years experience in a related field.  Local knowledge of the Bradford District and excellent ICT skills are essential.

This post will include regular weekend working.
