West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF) runs the Local Government Pension Scheme for over 400 employers based throughout the UK. WYPF has nearly 300,000 members and is valued over £11bn. In addition we have a shared service partnership with Lincolnshire Pension Fund and a number of Fire Authorities for the administration of the Firefighters Pension Schemes.

 

You will be responsible for the delivery of a coordinated and managed high quality, innovative client service for multi public sector pension funds, providing detailed technical analysis, interpretation and support.

 

Not only will you be a technical expert but you will also lead and manage on developing system processes to deliver efficiencies and maintain cost and service effectiveness in the administration of the schemes.

 

You will be responsible for a number of key pension scheme functions and their associated systems. This includes leading project working groups, testing software, overseeing and authorising changes to working practices, and the service delivery to members of the pension funds.  

You will ensure that WYPF is managed and administered effectively and efficiently and complies with pension’s legislation and requirements imposed by the Pensions Regulator. You will therefore be challenged with handling complex, detailed and ever changing pension legislation and translating that into working practice.

You will also have a thorough, well-organised and professional approach to work, with strong individual and team management skills.

As a minimum you will have 5 years' experience of pension scheme administration of which 2 years at a senior management position and you will hold a professional pensions qualification (IPPM, PMI or equivalent).
