Administrative Assistant (Employment and Skills)

Grade D

£16,015 - £18,544 per annum

Living Wage Supplement will be paid for salaries below £16,302

Based in Leeds City Centre

Please note:  It is WYCA policy to recruit at SP1 for all appointments.  Incremental increase to top of grade on an annual basis.

 

If you are an experienced administrator who is looking for a new challenge within a lively and fast-paced team, this could be the opportunity for you.

 

Leeds City Region is a dynamic and vibrant place to live, work and do business and we are seeking a hard-working and enthusiastic individual with experience of working in an administrative role to support the Employment and Skills Team of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.  

 

The successful candidate will have an interest in the employment and skills agenda, will be a proactive, self-starter with excellent organisational skills, a positive, can-do attitude, good communication and organisational skills and excellent customer service skills. This is a busy and varied role and the successful candidate must be able to prioritise and meet multiple deadlines, be able to use their initiative and work independently. The role involves communication and interaction with senior officers and elected members, the candidate must therefore have a professional manner and an understanding of working within a politically sensitive environment. Experience of supporting a busy external facing team with a diverse workload is a must
