Information Governance Officer

Grade I

SP 1-4 £26,141-£30,268 per annum

Based in Leeds City Centre

 

A new role of Information Governance Officer has been created in the Legal & Democratic Services team to assist in ensuring that the organisation meets all its legal and regulatory requirements in connection with freedom of information, confidentiality and the security of personal information.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate some knowledge of the Data Protection Act and other key legislation and will receive training and support to develop further in this role.

You will be working in a small team helping to identify key areas for compliance and helping to design and implement corporate solutions, such as training, in order to assist officers to understand their information governance obligations.

The role will also require you to manage the process of responding to Freedom of Information/Environmental Information requests and subject access requests.

You must be self-motivated, able to organise your own workload and work accurately with attention to detail. You will have good IT skills and be able to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels.
