WILSDEN PARISH COUNCIL

 

PARISH CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER

 

This permanent role is for 14 hours per week and is paid on the NJC scale of 18-25, currently £17,891-£22,434 (pro rata), depending on qualifications and experience.
A workplace pension is provided.

 

The job will be based at Wilsden Village Hall, Townfield, Wilsden, BD15 0HT and will require some evening and very occasional weekend working.

 

Wilsden Parish Council is looking for a highly motivated individual to become its next Clerk to the Council. The role will also include being the Council’s Responsible Financial Officer. The vacancy has arisen because the current postholder has been appointed to a fulltime position with another local council.

 

The role involves advising the parish council, administration, accounts, attendance at meetings and supervision of the Parish Council’s Assistant Clerk.

 

Experience of local government or parish council work will be an advantage, as will experience of monitoring budgets and preparing financial statements. Good computer skills are essential.

Candidates will be expected to hold Cilca or be prepared to study for the qualification and obtain it within two years.
