The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

This is a key post within Education, Employment and Skills. In this essential role you will provide advice, guidance and support to all school settings on religious and cultural issues and promote equality, diversity and community cohesion across the District.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic leader who can provide challenge and direction in the curriculum of Bradford schools. As an experienced professional you will be able to evidence a successful track record with demonstrable outcomes and achievements.
You will:
- Manage the relationship with all education settings and agencies especially through religious education.
- Deliver projects and specific initiatives to promote the PREVENT Agenda across the District.
- Broker and commission work and resources where needed to increase both the LA / education settings capacity for improvement and evaluate its impact.
- Increase the understanding of the relevance of religion, culture and ethnicity in relation to pupils and their learning.
- Ensure the Council meets its statutory functions, duties and responsibilities within the remit of the service.
- Prepare reports, briefing notes and associated information as well as deputising for and on behalf of the service.
