Project Officer (Townscape Heritage Initiative Scheme)

SO2/PO1 £28,203- £31,288 pa

1 x 37 hours per week

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

 

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

 

 

This is an exciting opportunity to develop skills by delivering a heritage led regeneration scheme with the following key purpose:

 

  

  • To lead, administer and implement the Bradford City Centre Townscape Heritage scheme, including the grant application process.

  • To be responsible for the formulation, implementation and review of the Bradford City Centre Townscape Heritage scheme action plan, in liaison with the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Partnership Board and other funding partners.

  • To be responsible for the overall administration and financial control of the scheme, including liaison with the Heritage Lottery Fund, monitors and other funding partners, in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Council and other partners.

 

You will require: 

   

  • At least 2 years’ experience in historic building and conservation area environment, working as part of a team.

  • Experience of leading heritage regeneration projects, including funding and budget management.

  • Experience of understanding and sustaining consultation and multi-agency involvement.

 

Qualifications:

   

  • Degree or equivalent in planning, architecture, urban design or historic building conservation.

  • Eligibility for full membership of the RTPI or equivalent professional body.
