Bradford Council is looking for 6 motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Administrators to undertake an Apprenticeship scheme for 13 months. The main duties of the role will be to provide a wide range of administrative functions across the Department of Health and Wellbeing.
We are looking for individuals who are committed to undertaking an Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Business Administration.
To qualify for the apprenticeship you must have Entry Level 3 or above in Maths and English and not already qualified at Level 2 in the Business Administration/Customer Service. (An assessment will take place before the interview stage).
The apprentice will follow a programme of training relating to the role and achieve the appropriate skills, competencies and qualifications by the end of the training programme.
Bradford Council will provide you with sufficient time, the working environment and a range of job activities to enable you to complete your apprenticeship.
The following skill competencies apply to this post:-
Following instructions with a methodical approach
Take part in on going training in order to show continuing skills development
Uses basic awareness of Health, Safety and Environment, including Risk Analysis
Must be accurate and able to demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills
Able to operate a range of office equipment e.g. telephone, photocopier, fax etc
Awareness of data protection and data security protocols
Able to effectively use key IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to work productively both within a team and, on occasions alone
Ability to adopt a process of continual improvement and suggest ways of working more efficiently and effectively
As this is an Intermediate Apprenticeship opportunity successful applicants at the selection stage will be assessed first on numeracy/literacy skills this is planned for the 20th September 2017 but may change. Only successful applicants from the assessment centre process will be invited to interview.
