Cleaning Assistant (59073) - Temporary

1 x 10 Hours per week

Based at Farfield Primary School, Reevy Crescent, Bradford, BD6 2BS

 

Band 2 SCP 6     £7.52 per hour

 

A living wage supplement is payable in addition to the salary quoted to bring the rate of pay up to the equivalent of £7.85 per hour for hours up to 37 per week

 

An opportunity has arisen within Catering and Cleaning Services for a Cleaning Assistant to work at the above site.

 

All varied cleaning duties are to be undertaken within the specified location.

Experience is preferred but not essential as successful candidates will be supported through an induction training programme. In return, you will receive opportunities to develop within the organisation and other benefits which you would expect from a Local Authority.

 

Hours quoted are per week and the position is Temporary.

 

All appointments are subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check.

From October 2016 Central Government will be introducing a new Code of Practice as part of the Government Immigration Bill, which specifies that all public sector workers in a “customer facing” role will have the necessary level of fluency in English appropriate for the role they will be undertaking.  This includes social workers, teaching staff and assistants and council employees.  This will require that a person working in a “Customer Facing” role can speak, listen and understand Basic English as a minimum.
