GENERAL ASSISTANT (TRAINING CENTRE)

Fire Service Headquarters, Birkenshaw

£6,592 to £6,867 per annum  - Working Thursdays and Fridays

Equates to 14 hours 48 minutes per week

 

As a key member of the Training Centre team the postholder will assist with the preparation of exercises, drills and demonstrations. Duties of the post include arranging fuel deliveries, assisting with the maintenance of ground and property, maintaining inventory records and stock and assisting caretaking staff during holiday periods.

 

Applicants will have the ability to perform a range of physically demanding tasks, be able to work as part of a team and possess a driving licence. The successful candidate will have knowledge of maintenance and building repair work and good DIY skills. The post holder will be required to work flexibly according to the needs of the post and occasionally work weekends.
