Depot Supervisor – Skilled

Band 7 £20,138 - £22,658 pa
37 hours per week (Average within annualised hours scheme)
Regular overtime will be required during peak season.

Location:  Wakefield Road, Foundry Lane Depot

           

 

To assist with the Senior Parks Officer with the maintenance of parks and open spaces within the Bradford South Area

You will be required:

  • To assist the SPO with the delivery of the grounds maintenance service ensuring an increasing efficient, effective and quality service is provided to the public and a range of internal/external clients.
  • Responsible for the supervision and direction of depot employees with regard to work schedules, priorities and issues in order to ensure delivery of a quality service.
  • Should be familiar with all horticultural machinery, ranging from tractors to powered pedestrian plant and also be familiar with general horticultural practices and techniques.
  • To be able to work as part of a team and work on own initiative and be able to response both written and verbal instructions as and when required.
  • To be responsible for the security of the depot in the absence of the SPO and be responsible for staff workload and ensuring works are completed to satisfaction.
  • Must be physically capable and be able to work on uneven terrain in all weathers.

 

 

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.
