Alternatives Investment Analyst

Band/Grade PO5  £38,789 pa - £41,551 pa (Pro rata for Part Time Posts)

1 x 37 hours per week

Based at Aldermanbury House, 4 Godwin Street, Bradford, BD1 2ST

 

West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF) is one of the UK’s biggest pension funds with assets of over £12bn.

 

Based in Bradford, WYPF provides the Local Government Pension Scheme to over 400 employers and 279,000 members.

 

To maintain and develop our position within the UK pension industry we are now looking to appoint an Alternatives Investment Analyst to assist the Alternatives Investment Manager in the provision of a high quality investment management service. You will assist the Alternatives Investment Manager in reviewing new opportunities in line with strategy, portfolio monitoring, data and performance analysis, along with other tasks required by the Alternatives Investment Manager. You will liaise with external service providers and recommend investment proposals.

 

You will have:

  • A recognised CCAB Accountancy qualification, or Investments (IMC, CFA, IIMR) qualification or other relevant qualification or degree, or substantial experience at that level.
  • Three years investment management or three years’ experience of working within the professional area of a large financial organisation.
  • An ability to organise and plan your own workload in a busy professional environment with many competing tasks.

 

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore it is essential that you provide examples in your application.
