Unique school

The Virtual School is dedicated to ensuring the District’s looked after children and young people achieve their potential. We support schools’ proactive planning, react to the unexpected and remove barriers to progress. We are looking for energetic, flexible and resilient colleagues to join our highly regarded team of Associates.

 

Unique pupils

Bradford’s looked after children are located within and beyond the District. The Virtual School ensures that every child (3 years -18 years) receives the best start in life that we, as corporate parents, can provide. This is through supporting our looked later children in their base schools.

 

Unique role

These posts are likely to appeal to teaching colleagues who enjoy working with children and young people to overcome barriers to learning. The idea of supporting looked after children and young people at mutually convenient times will appeal on a professional and personal level.

 

Associates will develop and deliver short term interventions in education placements with looked after pupils of all ages who are experiencing difficulties engaging in learning and/or who are at risk of permanent exclusion.

 

Associates will actively promote inclusive practice within the classroom setting to ensure acceptance of all children and ensure the education, social, emotional and health development of Virtual School pupils is fully supported

 

You will be prepared to work flexibly in terms of hours and location. Regular work cannot be guaranteed.

 

Virtual School posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Tuesday         27 June 2017  15:30 to 16:30 at Sir Henry Mitchell House, Bradford

 

The closing date for applications is 30 June 2017.

Completed application forms may be submitted at the information sessions or at any time before the closing date.

 

Interviews will take place on 10 July 2017.
