The Council’s Leisure Service is the largest leisure provider in the district with over 2 million customers each year visiting our sports centres, swimming pools and halls.  Our ‘b active’ campaign continues to encourage Bradford’s residents to be more physically active and we are now seeking additional committed and highly motivated people to help us continue with this work.

 

Ilkley Pool & Lido are now looking to recruit new staff who are lively, enthusiastic and committed to joining our team! If you feel you have what it takes, enjoy meeting and working with the public, and can provide the highest standards of service we would like to hear from you.

 

Enhancements for any unsociable hours worked which will include daytime, evenings, weekends and occasional Bank Holidays.

 

Duties include: Responsible to the Duty Person on a daily basis for the day to day operations which will include the cleaning inside and outside of the facility, general control and patrol of the facilities, i.e. changing areas, relevant pools and Café.  Also the successful applicant will be required to set up, dismantle, move and store equipment and will also have an overview of customer safety, discipline and well-being, customer service, prevention of injury and misuse/damage of the facility.

 

You must have: Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Unit 1 & 2) ASA Level 2 Award in Teaching Aquatics

 

The Leisure Service takes an open and positive stance on child protection.

 

Appointment to this post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure check being received.    

 

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying  for customer  facing  posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The criteria under Special Knowledge and Experience on the Job Profile, which is shown in this advert, outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.
