Bradford is the fourth largest Metropolitan District in England and is currently experiencing an increase in construction activity.

We are, therefore, able to offer a diverse and interesting career dealing with Building Regulations, Dangerous Structures and Safety at Sports Grounds, with a workload which is varied, wide ranging and challenging.

Over recent years we have invested heavily in a career development structure and a programme of staff training in order to secure a sustainable future for our service.

We are currently seeking to recruit additional enthusiastic persons to our team, who will preferably enter our career structure as a Building Control Surveyor.  You will therefore have a Degree, HNC, HND or NVQ level 4 relating to Building Construction and can demonstrate that you meet the relevant job competences.

Alternatively, individuals with long term experience in Building Construction who can demonstrate that they meet the relevant job competences and hold a formal qualification in construction will be considered.

For entry into a career at Trainee Surveyor level, consideration will also be given to candidates who hold NVQ level 3 or the equivalent in a construction related discipline.

These positions offer excellent training and career development opportunities together with an attractive salary, car user allowance, payment of appropriate professional subscriptions, generous leave entitlement, access to the local government pension benefits and flexi time working.

If you wish to have an informal discussion about these roles, please call one of the Principal Building Control Surveyors, Anthony Raby or Justin Booth on 01274 433807.
