DISTRICT PREVENTION ASSISTANT

Ossett Fire Station (Wakefield District Office)

£19,430 to £20,661 per annum

 

As a key member of the team the post holder will assist West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service in the reduction of risk within Wakefield District. Principle duties of the role include providing fire safety, road safety and arson reduction interventions and carrying out targeted education closely with relevant external partner agencies.

 

You will need to demonstrate a good track record of success in working closely with partner agencies to reduce risks. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with experience of planning and delivering community safety initiatives and education within the community. The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and flexibility in working hours to meet objectives.

 

The post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check and the possession of a valid driving licence.
