Missing Children’s Co-ordinator

Level 3 Social Worker: £28,485 - £33,437 pa

Bradford wants to improve its service for children who go missing and make sure that it is safe, responsive, robust and capable of meeting the challenges of working with this demanding group. The Missing Coordinator will play a key role in overseeing the services to missing children ensuring that all such incidents are properly recorded and that designated services complete return interviews and follow up work.

 

The post holder will provide a single point of contact for the police ensuring that every missing child incident is picked up and receives an appropriate response. The post holder would also be expected to work with partner agencies to secure improvements in the response to children who go missing.

 

The post holder will be expected to work in conjunction  with key bodies like the Child Sexual Exploitation Hub and the Missing, Exploited and trafficked meeting to ensure that Bradford M.D.C.’s service to children who go missing meets all regulatory requirements and become an acknowledged centre of excellence.

 

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.


The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore it is essential that you provide examples in your application.
