Casual Residential Practitioners/ Respite Support /Behavioural Workers

£10.97 per hour

Casual hours as and when required.

Based Service Wide including services to children with disabilities and complex health needs

 

DO YOU HAVE ANY SPARE TIME?

 

You will be an experienced and qualified child care worker who is able to undertake casual work to provide staff cover as and when required. It can be as little as one shift per month up to three shifts per week.

 

You must have experience of working with children and young people in a paid or voluntary capacity and hold a Diploma level 3 Children’s Health and Social care, NVQ level 3 child care qualification or equivalent.

 

Working in one of our children’s homes, the role involves helping to look after a group of young people who will have behavioural and emotional difficulties, which is both challenging and rewarding.   Some of the children use specialist equipment to aid communication, stimulation and need assistance with personal care.

 

Applicants must be over 21yrs for mainstream and over 18 years for disabilities and be able to physically hold and support young people  when challenging situations are presented.. Training is provided.

 

An Enhanced disclosure check with the Criminal Records Bureau will be undertaken for this post.
