The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF) is one of the UK’s biggest pension funds with assets of over £12bn.

 

Based in Bradford, WYPF provides the Local Government Pension Scheme to over 400 employers and 279,000 members.

 

To maintain and develop our position within the UK pension industry we are now looking to appoint a Property Investment Manager to assist the Alternatives Investment Manager in the provision of a high quality investment management service. You will manage on a discretionary basis the WYPF’s property investment portfolio. You will liaise with external service providers and review and recommend property investment proposals. You will also manage external tenders and contracts in relation to property investments and liaise with contractors in the management of those assets.

 

You will have:

       

  •  A recognised Chartered Surveyor qualification or CCAB Accountancy qualification, or Investments (IMC, CFA, IIMR) qualification or other relevant qualification or degree, or substantial experience at that level.

  • Three years investment management or property management experience, or three years’ experience of working within the professional area of a large financial organisation.

  • An ability to organise and plan your own workload in a busy professional environment with many competing tasks.
