Bradford South Children’s Centre Cluster are looking to recruit a member of staff to join their existing team of Community Engagement Workers.  The postholder will undertake  outreach work, helping parents engage in new experiences and opportunities within the cluster of seven children’s centres. 

 

Applicants should have at least one years’ experience of paid or voluntary work with parents/carers and young children.  

Essential requirements include:

  • the ability to communicate effectively with parents and children
  • knowledge of the physical, intellectual, linguistic, social and emotional development of babies and children.

The qualifications required are:

 

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant field (health, social care, community development work or early years)

Or

  • Evidence of appropriate work experience at this level

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.
