Salary: £17,372 – 37 hours per week
Vacancies: Two positions available. One of which will be in the Investments team.

Due to our increasing shared service with other Pension Funds we require a Finance Apprentice to join our small, friendly team based in Aldermanbury House in Bradford City Centre.

What audit apprentices can expect from us
The finance officer's role is a varied one, where your skills and versatility will be utilised to support the breadth of our finance team’s function. A key part of the finance apprentice role will be to provide a number of varied financial services within the pension fund, with opportunities to progress and with support for accountancy training.
Key responsibilities
- To undertake a range of finance, accountancy and or internal audit duties for employer partner organisations, as directed by the employer partner.
- To attend scheduled classes at a CETC training centre according to the teaching timetable, including examinations.
- To undertake additional studies as directed by CIPFA trainers.
Placements will typically involve a variety of tasks including:
- preparing financial records and statements
- estimating the cost of new projects
- reviewing budgets and investments
- monitoring spending and cash flows
- allocating money to projects and departments
- analysing the effectiveness of services to the public
- managing the organisation's financial systems
- conducting internal audits
- governance tasks
- risk management.
The emphasis on particular duties will vary over time according to business needs within the specific organisation the candidate is placed.
Entry requirements

Qualifications: AAT Level 3 or equivalent (eg A levels in accounts plus maths or economics – grade A-D). Plus GCSE maths and English (grade C or above) or equivalent.
