Bradford Council TIME OUT Service

Casual workers

Are you interested in working with older people with memory impairments or dementia, adults with physical or learning disabilities or people who live with mental ill health?

Could you spend time with people in their own homes to give their permanent carer a break for a few hours?

Would you like to earn at least £7.90 per hour and be able to decide how often and when you work?

If you have experience either in a paid role or in a personal capacity of working people with health or social care needs, we want to hear from you.

We are recruiting people to join our casual register and to work across the whole of Bradford Met. We particularly need people who can work in the Ilkley, Menston, Bingley and Keighley areas and people who are from the South Asian and Eastern European communities. Men are also under represented in our service.

The work can be offered at short notice, sometimes for the same day, and could include waking nights

If you join the Time Out team you will receive support and training from an experienced team and have the satisfaction of knowing that you are doing an important and rewarding job.

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying  for customer  facing  posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The criteria under Special Knowledge and Experience on the Job Profile, which is shown in this advert, outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

Closing Date:  Sunday 2nd April 2017
