Access Information Advisor

 

2 x 37 hours per week (part time hours considered)

Band 4/5/6:  £15,238 - £19,939 pa (Pro rata for Part Time Posts) and subject to meeting progression criteria

 

Primarily based within the Central Access Team at Britannia House OR at a number of venues across the district. You will need to be willing to rotate between teams, dependant upon the needs of the service.

 

 

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required by the needs of the service.

 

  • The normal pattern of working would be five days over a seven day period.

 

With good interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate clearly, in relation to sensitive and personal matters in conversation with the public and professionals, and in writing; you will work as part of a large multi agency team offering advice and information on social care and health issues as the initial point of contact for adults social care.

 

Full training/ mentoring is provided, along with opportunities for future development and career progression within this exciting role.  You will be working closely with qualified social workers, and occupational therapists plus a range of health professionals, to help people to find solutions to problems, and assist/ facilitate contact with a range of community based resources with an overall aim of promoting and enabling independence/ health and well being.   

 

At times you will be in contact with people who are in distressing or crisis situations and therefore you will need to collect information in a calm, reassuring and measured way.
