The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

 

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

 

We are looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Manager to lead the South Bradford Cluster of Children’s Centres which comprises seven centres.  The cluster was formed on the 1st August 2016 as part of the reconfiguration of Bradford and District Children’s Centres to seven clusters across the District.  A three year contract is in place for the delivery of Children’s Centres Services to 31 July 2019.  The cluster is run and managed by the Local Authority as part of the Early Years’ Service. 

The key aims of the post are:

 

  • To take a lead responsibility for ensuring effective delivery of high quality integrated services for young children and their families across a cluster of Children’s Centres.

  • To plan, prioritise and deploy staff and resources across the cluster to improve outcomes for children and families and operate within the cluster budget.

  • To ensure through robust monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance/performance management that the centres are delivering on the key outcomes and key performance indicators and the core purpose of Children’s Centres.

We are looking for:

 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of managing the delivery of, co-ordinating or leading integrated services for children and/or families in health, social care, childcare or early education.

  • Relevant extensive experience of planning, monitoring and evaluating delivery of services for children and families.

  • Leadership experience – managing people and undertaking performance management and appraisal.

    Recent experience of analysing, using and reporting on a wide range of early years data, information and key indicators.
