Project Safety Co-ordinator

PO1:  £29,323- £31,601pa

1 x 37hrs per week

Work Location:  Britannia House, Bradford

 

 

An opportunity has arisen within Architectural Services Unit for a Project Safety Co-ordinator to work within Council Corporate Services CDM Unit across the Bradford District.

You will be responsible for ensuring that works to construction projects, properties and highways of the Authority, within your area of responsibility are planned, designed and undertaken with full regard to health and safety and as required by the CDM Regulations and carried out to the highest possible standard consistent with the legislation and relevant guidance. You will be required to act as Principal Designer as required by the regulations and advise and direct design teams, project teams and contractors as required.

You will be required to carry out a full range of construction health and safety associated duties in a wide range of Council properties and establishments to the required standards and advise Senior management on safety management requirements and duties as relevant

You will preferably have served a construction based apprenticeship with relevant experience and preferably some site management experience with a minimum HNC in Building as a qualification. You should have a minimum of a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and at least 5 years experience as a Construction Safety professional. You will preferably have at least 5 years experience as a CDM Co-ordinator and preferably hold RMaPS and hold a full driving licence.
