ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, FINANCE AND PROCUREMENT

Salary to: £92,852

As the fourth largest metropolitan council in the country, Bradford is home to a huge variety of different cultures, landscapes, businesses and communities – as well as a young and growing population.

Like all authorities Bradford has budgetary challenges to overcome, but we have an ambitious and achievable four year financial plan – and the focus is now on delivery and implementation. This new role will be integral to our approach, acting as the Deputy S151 and covering financial management and accounting, risk, audit, and procurement.

Our finance teams are well established and highly experienced, and we are keen to develop our approach to procurement, ensuring it is consistently applied across the organisation, able to support local businesses, and enhance social value.

We are therefore looking for candidates with a strong public sector finance background and an understanding of procurement, with the drive and determination to develop partnerships with other organisations, help shape the team, and work closely with Members and support their aims.

This is a key role at a critical time for Bradford – for more information, visit www.leadersinbradford.com  or call our advising consultants Gary Evans (0113 205 6080), Luke Judd (0113 205 6077) or Jodi MacDougall (0113 205 6093).
