Post: Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Community Engagement Officer, FRAGILE Project
Salary & hours Equivalent to NJC pay scale SO1 £24,646 - £24,892 pro rata 20 hours
Location: Based at MWC office at Carlisle Business Centre, Bradford, BD8. The post will require travel and independent working
Reporting to: MWC Director
Job purpose, duties and responsibilities
The CSE Community Engagement Officer will be responsible for delivering the outcomes of the FRAGILE (Forced, Raped, Assaulted, Groomed, Immoral, Lured, Exploited) project.
The role requires the following:

Create awareness of CSE as a highly sensitive issue in the Bradford Metropolitan District Council

Deliver a programme of engagement workshops/events/facilitated discussions at a range of locations including Mosques, schools and community centres

Enable the local community to self-identify structures of power, gender structures and roles, familial structures that can provide scope for such abuse;

Deliver awareness programmes for adults and young people with regard to signs of CSE abuse;
Refer cases to relevant authorities

Work collaboratively with voluntary and statutory sector partners to deliver the required outcomes for the FRAGILE project and

Work within the Every Child Matters agenda, and related strategies at both national and local level
