Holmeview is a Specialist Resource Centre which provides short stay, respite, flexi and long stay care for service users living with Dementia and other mental health needs.

 

Applicants should have one year’s experience of working in a residential setting supporting service users with Dementia and Mental Health needs.  Applicants should have NVQ 3 or equivalent in social care. 

 

As a Senior Care Assistant you will:

 

  • Provide care in its broadest sense to the service users within the establishment. This involves affording all service users, on a group or individual basis their right to achieve their potential – physical, intellectual, emotional and social by recognising and developing such potential, taking into account different cultural backgrounds.

  • As a member of the care team, provide a comfortable environment for service users. Take individual responsibility for residents/clients whilst fulfilling tasks inside and outside the establishment.

  • Have particular responsibility for a group of residents as key worker.

  • Also support visiting relatives.

  • Undertake other tasks as requested by the management team – on a needs basis.
