Band 5 - 7:  £16, 491 - £22,658 pa 

1 x 37 hours per week

The Community Care Administration team within Adult Services is responsible for financial assessment of service users’ contributions either when they are receiving care in their own home or in residential and nursing placements. The team is also responsible for making payments to providers.

 

One successful applicant will primarily be ensuring that financial assessments are calculated accurately in compliance with the Care Act 2014 and the councils Ability to Pay charging Policy for financial assessments for Non Residential Services. They will also be require to ensure that accurate invoices are raised.

 

You will require:

 

  • Experience of working in a computerised environment preferably within a Customer Service Environment, including providing information and advice via the telephone.
  •  Experience of using complex IT packages such as Word, databases, spreadsheets, internet and email to view, extract and manipulate data.
  •  Must be accurate and able to demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills.
  •  Be able to assimilate and apply complex and detailed information and relay it to customers.
  •  Be able to implement, maintain and manage accurate information retention systems both manual and computerised.
  •  You should have Maths and English GCSE grade A-C 

 

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying  for customer  facing  posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The criteria under Special Knowledge and Experience on the Job Profile, which is shown in this advert, outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.
