The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

 

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile shown outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

 

The Council’s Leisure Service is the largest leisure provider in the district with over 2 million customers each year visiting our sports centres, swimming pools and halls.  Our ‘b active’ campaign continues to encourage Bradford’s residents to be more physically active and we are now seeking additional committed and highly motivated people to help us continue with this work.

 

Eccleshill Pool are now looking to recruit new staff who are lively, enthusiastic and committed to joining our team! If you feel you have what it takes, enjoy meeting and working with the public, and can provide the highest standards of service we would like to hear from you.


Duties include: Responsible to the Duty Person for the day to day operations which will include the cleaning inside and outside of the facility, general control and patrol of the facilities. Also the successful applicant will be required to set up, dismantle, move and store equipment. Overview of customer safety, discipline and well-being.  Provision of effective customer service, preventing or injury to customers and misuse/damage of the facility, supervised on a daily basis by the Duty Person, but will also report to the Centre Manager.

 

You must have: Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
