Collection & Recovery Officer

2 x 37 hours per week

Band 5/6 £16,191 -  £19,939 per year depending on skills and experience

 

Applicants MUST be able to work flexibly between the hours of 8.30am - 7pm Monday to Friday subject to the needs of the service.

 

8 x 12 hours per week

Band 5/6 £5,251 -  £6,466 per year depending on skills and experience

 

Applicants MUST be able to work between the hours of 4pm and 8pm Monday to Thursday

 

Based at Britannia House, Bradford City Centre

Our Collection and Recovery Officers are responsible for collecting and recovering all monies owing to the Council, including Council Tax and they regularly handle high volumes of telephone calls from the public. They work in a fast paced, busy and often pressurised environment where there is a strong focus on customer service and arrears management.

Our Collection and Recovery Officers should ideally have customer service and/or debt collection experience in any industry however applications are strongly encouraged from those who do not have experience of collecting personal or business debts, as full training will be given.
