A Living Wage supplement is payable in addition to the salary quoted to bring the rate of pay up to the equivalent of £7.85 per hour for hours up to 37 per week

The Council’s Leisure Service is the largest leisure provider in the district with over 2 million customers each year visiting our sports centres, swimming pools and halls. Our ‘b active’ campaign continues to encourage Bradford’s residents to be more physically active and we are now seeking additional committed and highly motivated people to help us continue with this work.

Duties include:
- To be responsible for the lifeguarding duties in all pool hall area’s including the safety and supervision of all pool users in accordance with the procedures and policies of the Pool Supervision Work Instructions.
- To cover reception duties that include taking telephone and face to face bookings, fees and charges, sale of goods, reconcile daily takings; to operate electronic and computerised systems e.g. electronic booking system, carry out administrative duties as and when required as directed by the Duty Officer or Centre Manager.
- Responsible for ensuring that equipment for different sessions / fitness classes is set out and stored away safely.
- Completing regular patrols of the facility ensuring the building is clean and safe for visiting customers to use.
- To maintain a discreet presence in all areas of the swimming pool in order to provide supervision, help, guidance and direction to all customers using the Centre, in doing so helping to prevent vandalism and antisocial behaviour.
- To work with in the guide lines of the systems and procedures we provide.
You must have: Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
