PALZ+ Lead Worker
30 Hours (fixed term 31st March 2017)
FTE £19,636.50 per annum (30 hours per week pro rata)

Play and Learn Zone Plus

 

PALZ + is a referral provision providing one to one mentoring support and small group work for vulnerable children and young people aged 8-13 to achieve the following outcomes: 

  • Prevent, reduce or stop instances of Children and Young People displaying challenging behaviour in a variety of settings.
  • Through engaging in constructive activities, Children and Young people have improved social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Children and Young people are supported to become resilient with improved knowledge and safety and therefore reducing risk. 

                                               

Job Purpose

To develop, plan and deliver the PALZ+ programme including partnership work with other organisations. 

 

 

  • Supervising staff, trainees and volunteers.

  • To lead a programme of intensive mentoring and activities to vulnerable young people aged 8-13.

  • Work with a case load of 10 (max) children who have been appropriately identified as in need of the service.

  • Monitoring and delivering the programme within the given budgets.

  • Monitoring and evaluating the PALZ+ programme within formats agreed by YMCA and preparing reports for programme funders.

  • Develop working practice in line with Health & Safety policy.
