The Children's Society is a national charity that works with vulnerable young people. We have projects running across the country working with young carers, child sexual exploitation, young asylum seekers and refugees.
OPPORTUNITY: Volunteer as a INDEPENDENT VISITOR to a Young Person in Care in Bradford with monthly visits -
We are recruiting for Volunteers across ALL areas of Bradford to be an Independent Visitor
You will be matched to a young person in care that is waiting for an IV in your area, we are seeking applicants from all postcodes of Bradford, Leeds, Huddersfield and Halifax
As an Independent Visitor volunteer you will:
- Have fun taking young people on outings and maybe share a hobby, sport or interest, once a month
- Offer support and a listening ear and be a positive influence in a young person’s life and help build self- esteem and confidence
- Have all volunteer expenses paid
- Complete Training with us on Volunteering, Safeguarding and GDP
- Complete full DBS
- Have regular contact and support with Volunteer Coordinator
You don’t need any special qualifications. We are looking for reliable and dependable people from all walks of life. We will provide training and on-going support and expenses will be paid.
