The City of Bradford is rich in culture, diversity and vibrant communities. We are seeking to support and drive new opportunities with a Senior Planning Officer post to bring exciting talent, passion and commitment to our area.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Planning Officer to assist in the delivery of an efficient and effective Development Management service that deals with thousands of development proposals whilst carrying a workload of more complex cases including major planning applications and providing pre-application advice in a timely and professional manner.
This presents a great opportunity for the right candidate to further develop their career through the processing of important and complex applications including major planning applications within the City of Bradford, regularly presenting applications to the Planning Panel and Regulatory & Appeals Committee including in the absence of the Area Planning Manager, quality checking and determining planning applications under delegated powers, the mentoring and training of junior staff members, working closely with other teams to improve procedures and being an integral part of a forward thinking and dynamic team.
You will have extensive experience in Development Management and communicate effectively with Elected Members, applicants/agents, and other internal and external teams to provide advice and assistance as required.
You will be part of a dedicated team committed to driving continued improvements.
