This is an exciting opportunity to join Bradford Council. We’re looking for an experienced senior housing development manager to join our professional Housing and Enabling team.

 

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Economy and Development, you will lead and manage the development team with specific responsibility for Housing led Regeneration, Affordable Housing and sustainable housing growth.  You will commission programmes for housing investment in the district, enabling the Council to implement Bradford’s housing strategy in a sustainable manner. 

 

As the Development Manager you will be responsible for: 

 

 

  • The management of up to 20 Housing staff.

  • Be responsible for a multi million pound levels of financial investment across the District and for securing additional funding to deliver the housing elements of the District plan.

  • Leading and delivering a comprehensive asset management strategy for all housing stock to  return maximum value from the assets, inform and support the Council’s business planning process for capital and revenue spending. 

  • Encouraging investment in Bradford and the District, ensuring sustainable economic growth  through the supply of new and existing homes, meeting the needs of the District and the wider Leeds City Region. 

  • Working in partnership with investors and delivery organisations to achieve shared regeneration outcomes, making best use of land and other assets in the process.

  • Implementing and overseeing  an effective project and programme management framework for all development and regeneration projects within the remit of the post.

  • Providing effective leadership within and outside the Council for housing developments in      Bradford and District.
