Grade K SP1-4 £33,871 - £39,219 per annum

Please note:  It is our policy to recruit within the lower quartile of the advertised pay band in most cases; incremental increases are applicable in most cases on an annual basis.

Based in Leeds City Centre

 

West Yorkshire Combined Authority Portfolio Management Office (PMO) oversees a £1bn+ portfolio of programmes and projects. These schemes are either delivered directly by us or through one of our partner organisations (public and private sector). Whichever the delivery route, the PMO has responsibility for ensuring that only schemes which meet the strategic aims of the organisation and have a robust commercial, economic, financial and management case are developed and delivered and they are carried out within the agreed time, cost and quality framework.

 

We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic Portfolio Manager to join the team. The Portfolio Manager (Process), in collaboration with the Portfolio Managers (Controls) will be responsible for developing and implementing the necessary processes and procedures to support the delivery of the Combined Authority’s  Portfolio. They will also lead on developing, updating and embedding the assurance templates which projects are required to complete as they proceed through our assurance process and will be a source of guidance to project managers on developing and delivering their schemes in accordance with the Leeds City Region Assurance Framework.

 

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has experience in the assurance and management of portfolios or large programmes. Alternatively we would welcome applications from candidates who have a track record of successful project delivery, project appraisal and or project assurance and as a result could apply their skills to the Combined Authority’s portfolio management.
