Stone Mason

£11.69 per hour

2 x 37 hours per week

Work Location:  Britannia House, Bradford

An opportunity has arisen within Building & Technical Services for two Masons to work within the council’s corporate buildings across the Bradford district. You will be responsible for ensuring that works to properties of the Authority, within your Area of responsibility are carried out to the highest possible standard consistent with the contract specifications and conditions. With due regard being paid to legislation, Council Policies, Statutory Regulations and the Heath and Safety at Work Act.

Carry out a full range of maintenance & site Masonry work and associated duties in a wide range of Council properties and establishments to the required standards.

You will have experience in the use of tools, plant equipment and materials as applicable in the construction industry.

Ideally you will be competent in the following construction skills:-

• Masonry/Bricklaying

• Plastering

• Tiling

• Propping works

• Minor Ground Works

You will be a time served apprentice with 2 years relevant experience as a Mason, a NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Craft City and Guilds in Masonry and a full, clean driving licence.
