Collection & Recovery Officer
(Permanent and casual contracts available) - 8 x 12 hours per week
Band 5/6: £17,391 to £20,541 (pro rata 12 hours per week depending on skills and experience - commencing at £9.01 per hour)
Based at Britannia House, Bradford City Centre
Applicants MUST be available to work between the hours of 4pm and 8pm Monday to Thursday on a shift pattern of either 4pm – 7pm or 5pm – 8pm.

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

Our Collection and Recovery Officers are responsible for collecting and recovering all monies owing to the Council, including Council Tax and they regularly handle high volumes of telephone calls from the public. They work in a fast paced, busy and often pressurised environment where there is a strong focus on customer service and arrears management.
Our Collection and Recovery Officers should ideally have customer service and/or debt collection experience in any industry however applications are strongly encouraged from those who do not have experience of collecting personal or business debts, as full training will be given.
