Community Care Support Worker (Nights)

Band 4  £18,065 pa - £18,426 pa (Pro rata for Part Time Posts)

2 x 31.5 hours per week

This post is only open to Bradford Council Employees who are on Established or Fixed Term Contract because the Council has to consider employment opportunities for its workforce.

 

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

 

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile which is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

 

  • Ability to perform basic personal tasks for service users , observing, assessing and recording individual needs in a group setting as well as an understanding of the needs of the service user group.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently (verbal and written) with a variety of people, relatives, colleagues and workers from other agencies.
  • Flexibility to respond to individuals and situation, and the ability to stimulate, motivate and encourage independence and enablement.

 

The post holder will have:

  • A minimum of one years’ experience of working with adults in a residential, community or voluntary setting.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent. Successful applicants will also be expected to undertake compulsory training once in post.
  • Full driving licence
