Grade K SP1-4 £33,871 - £39,219 per annum

Based In Leeds City Centre

West Yorkshire Combined Authority (Combined Authority) and the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) are delivering the vision for transformational economic and jobs growth across the City Region. We have a growing and diverse portfolio of projects across a range of disciplines including transport, housing & regeneration, employment skills and flood alleviation.

We are currently seeking to appoint a Project Appraisal Manager. This post is part of the Feasibility & Assurance team in the Delivery Directorate, and will report to the Programme Development Manager. The successful candidate for this newly created post will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic team, which is responsible for ensuring schemes progress accordingly through the Combined Authority’s assurance process.

The Authority is seeking an individual with experience of working in a project appraisal environment, or with significant experience of business case development.

The Project Appraisal Manager’s key responsibilities will include:

•        To be responsible for the appraisal of schemes coming through the Combined Authority assurance process

•        To act as a case officer, by undertaking reviews of business cases coming forward for approval in the Combined Authority assurance process

•        To ensure appropriate quality assurance processes are in place and adhered to

Please note: Whilst it is our policy to recruit at SP1 for all appointments, each role has career salary progression, with incremental increases applicable in most cases on an annual basis.
