Mental Health Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Professional
SW1/3 Grade £24,799 - £34,788 + 2 increments for the AMHP role
7 x 37 hours per week (Established) and 2 x 37 hours per week (temporary)to cover Maternity Leave.
Bradford Council is looking to recruit four Mental Health Social Workers in our innovative, award winning and integrated mental health services. The posts are as follows:
- Mental Health Social Worker - Assertive Outreach Team
- Mental Health Social Worker – Reviewing Team
- Mental Health Social Worker – South and West Community Mental Health Team
- Mental Health Social Worker – South & West Community Mental Health Team – Assessment Team
- Mental Health Social Worker – Acute Care Team
- Mental Health Social Worker – Acute Care Team (Maternity Cover)
- Mental Health Social Worker – Airedale Community Mental Health Team
- Mental Health Social Worker – Airedale Community Mental Health Team ( Maternity Cover)
- Mental Health Social Worker – City Community Mental Health Team
Mental Health Social Work has a high profile in Bradford and the social model of mental health has a key role within our community services. Our mental health services are fully integrated with our colleagues in the NHS through a partnership agreement but management of staff and finance is separate.
Two posts will be based in our South and West Community Mental Health Team at St Martins Avenue BD71LG One of these posts will be committed to the newly formed assessment team which is a team dedicated to assessing all service users referred to adult mental health services. This role will be to promote and embed adult social care statutory responsibilities into the system. The other post will be based with the CMHT.
Two posts will be based at Meridian House Airedale Community Mental Health Team. One of these posts is for maternity cover for 12 months.
Two posts will be based at Lynfield Mount Hospital as part of the acute care team. One of these posts is for maternity cover for 12 months.
One post is for The City Community Mental Health Team based at Horton Park Centre, Horton Park Avenue.
One post is for The Integrated Outreach Team which provides a city wide service for people with dual diagnosis and hard to reach. The post will be based at the Bradford base at Fieldhead Business Centre.
The reviewing team post covers the Bradford and Airedale area and fulfils the statutory responsibility for Care Act Assessments. This team undertakes and reviews of all existing care packages commissioned by Adult Mental Health Services where there is no ongoing role for Community Mental Health Teams.
We invite Applications from Social Workers who hold an appropriate qualification (CQSW/DipSw /Degree in SW) and are registered with the HCPC. If you are an Approved Mental Health Professional we will authorise you to act on behalf of Bradford Council and take part in the AMHP duty rota. You will be working within an integrated multidisciplinary team alongside health colleagues and with Health and Social Care line management. The CMHT posts will also be open to newly qualified social workers and we will support you through the ASYE year.
