The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.
The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile which is shown in this advert, outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate. Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.
The Department of Children’s Services would like to recruit an Apprentice who is enthusiastic, competent and flexible.
The main duties of the role will be to provide administrative support to the Employment and Skills team responding to calls made to the service, making outgoing calls and producing documents using a variety of software, photocopying, dealing with student and employer data, updating records and maintaining systems and processes for the Work Experience Team and Bradford Pathways/Education Covenant within Employment and Skills.
The apprentice will follow a programme of training relating to the role and achieve the appropriate skills, competencies and qualifications of the role by the end of the training programme.
We are looking for individuals who are committed to undertaking an Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Business Administration.
To qualify for the apprenticeship you must have GCSE Maths and English at Grades A-C or a minimum of Entry Level 3 or above in Maths and English. (An assessment will take place before the interview stage).
Bradford Council will provide you with sufficient time, the working environment, training and the range of job activities within where it is possible for you to complete your full apprenticeship.
