Based across the Bradford District within The Reviewing Mental Health Team/ Community Mental Health Teams

 

Here in Bradford, we are passionate about positive, human rights based social work practice and we strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for the people we work with.  In order for us to achieve this goal we are investing in our workforce and our Social Work Teaching Partnership by recruiting to Community Care Officer Roles in our community mental health teams and mental health reviewing teams. Our community mental health teams are integrated with our health colleagues from Bradford district care foundation trust and each team is jointly managed by a health and social care manager.

 

As a Community Care Officer, we shall offer you support to develop a professional career within social care. You will bring enthusiasm, strong values, and the relational skills to successfully enable people with complex mental health needs, and their families to tell you about their wishes, feelings, and beliefs and how they would want you to support them to meet the hopes and ambitions they have for their own lives. Working with us you will get broad experience across a range of social work contexts.

Bradford has the largest percentage of population under the age of 16 outside London, over 30% of the population is under the age of 20. You will have:

 

  • At level 1 you shall have a minimum of one years’ experience in health or social care settings.  At level 2, as a minimum you shall have 3 years’ experience in Health or Social care.
  • At level 1 you shall have a NVQ level 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification or demonstrable experience at this level.  At level 2 you shall have an NVQ level 3 (Adults) or equivalent qualification or demonstrable experience to operate at this level.
