Salary: WY08 £29,055 to £30,756 (indicative) plus excellent benefits

Full Time: 37 hours per week

Initially fixed term for 12 months (potential to be made permenant)

Based in Morley, Leeds

 

About us – West Yorkshire Joint Services (WYJS) is an organisation, which delivers a unique mix of statutory and non-statutory services to local government, other public sector organisations and commercial customers both in West Yorkshire, nationally and with some international links.  Our laboratories and support services hold UKAS and BSI accreditations to ISO 17025, ISO17020 and ISO9001. We have recently transitioned to the latest standards and have a vision to integrate and continually improve our systems to not only meet our service delivery targets but embed quality into everything we do.  This role is fixed term to work on specific objectives in our service business plan. About you – Ideally you’ll hold a degree in a quality related discipline or field closely aligned with quality management, you may even hold other professional qualifications to demonstrate continuous development and understanding of quality within various sectors.  Managing and maintaining accreditation across a range of services is a key part of the role so your proven experience of working in a practical quality role will bring a supportive yet focused approach to ensure quality objectives and requirements are met – in a collaborative way.  Your career to date may be in a laboratory environment but what’s most important is you have a good level of knowledge and experience in delivering an efficient and effective quality management system which can help us build on the existing system to make a greater positive impact on the services we deliver to our customers.

 

The role is initially a 12 month fixed term contract but this may be extended to a permanent position subject to business requirement. The role is subject to a 6 month probationary period.
