Business Support Finance Officer (Placement Co-ordination)
Band 7 £20,138 pa - £22,658 pa (Pro rata for Part Time Posts – Pay Award Pending)
1 x 22 hours per week
Temporary until 1st October 2018
Working full days Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Based at Margaret McMillan Tower
The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The role of Business Support Finance Officer is a role within Children’s Services; the purpose of the role is to provide a professional finance service within the Placement Co-ordination Team.
Responsibilities include:-
- Maintaining a range of financial information systems in line with service user guidelines and procedures
- Liaison with other sections/department to verify information and/or seek authorisation for action
- Interrogation of information databases and inputting to forms/databases, completing enquiries as appropriate
- Provide financial and performance information to assist in the completion of internal and external financial and performance requirements
- Procure and pay for goods and supplies in accordance with Council Procurement procedures and policies
- Administration duties as required by the Placement Co-ordination team
