The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The WYPF is one of the UK’s largest Local Government pension funds with assets under management worth over £17bn. The Fund has a diverse investment portfolio covering all asset classes and most markets, and is administered by the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council.
 
The investment portfolio is actively managed and almost entirely by the in house investment teams. The WYPF is looking to appoint an Assistant Treasury Manager to work within the investment team. 
 
To maintain and develop our position within the UK pensions industry we are now looking to appoint an Assistant Treasury Manager to assist the Treasury Manager and Assistant Director - Overseas in the provision of a high quality investment management service. 
 
The Fund is looking for a highly motivated individual to contribute and support the management of the West Yorkshire Pension Fund’s investment portfolio, with particular emphasis on cash and fixed income securities.  The post holder will also help manage Bradford Council’s debt and cash balances. 
 
You will undertake relevant analytical research and assist the treasury manager in the discretionary management of the cash and fixed income portfolio.

 

Candidates should have a recognised accountancy or stock market qualification and relevant knowledge and experience in investments. 
 
Candidates who are not professionally qualified, must have significant and demonstrable investment management experience.
