Grade I Salary – SP1 – 4 £26,402 - £30,571

 

If applicable Living Wage Supplement will be paid for salaries below £16,881

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic communications professional, dedicated to making a step change in the way people travel, and create a positive impact for region as a whole.

 

The role

 

The CCAG Engagement and Development Advisor is a dynamic role within the Communications and Engagement team, with a primary focus on the ambitious cycling and walking projects being delivered by West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s £60m CityConnect programme, as well as supporting the marketing and communications team that covers the breadth of the Combined Authority’s work.

 

The Combined Authority brings together the five partner councils in West Yorkshire, as well as York, the business community via Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership and also takes in the former Passenger Transport Executive (branded Metro). Overall, the Combined Authority covers a population of over 3 million people and represents the largest economy outside London.

 

The person

 

We are looking to appoint a driven individual with a passion for making a positive difference to the region, and in particular the ability to communicate the benefits of active travel to a wide range of audiences.

 

The ideal candidate will have excellent communications skills, experience in the field of behaviour change and with a track record in partnership working. The candidate should also have experience and knowledge of working in a political environment.

 

This is a varied role which will suit an adaptable individual, proficient at developing and managing a range of projects and working with a range of stakeholders and partners

 

You will have:

 

·  Experience in developing, delivering and evaluating behaviour change initiatives, that are targeted and measurable

 

·  Capable of working flexibly and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary communications and marketing team

 

·  Ability to engage with a wide range of audiences, including through public facing activity

 

·  Experience of building relationships and delivering successful partnership activities

 

You will be educated to at least A-level and hold a relevant qualification in communications, project management or relevant experience of performing in a similar role.
