The Service Manager role will support the Head of Service by providing management and leadership across the Operations Department.   Post holders shall take operational responsibility for quality and standards of service delivery across the localities, in keeping with national standards for practice, including CQC, Professional Capabilities Framework and Social Work England Professional Standards for Social Workers in England.  The role shall provide a lead role on issues of quality assurance, mental capacity, Mental Health Act compliance and ensuring an ethical approach to social work service.

 

It is an exciting time to join us at Bradford mental health services.  We work in partnership with our communities, our colleagues in Bradford District Care Foundation Trust and the VCSE and are currently embarking on a Community Mental Health Transformations programme to improve the way services work together to deliver mental health support to the people of the Bradford District.  The Service Manager role will be crucial to the development of this new way of working.  We have strong connections to our partners in both BDCFT and the VCSE upholding the agenda to Act as One.

 

We have a strong Senior Leadership Team with a clear vision of embedding quality of practice across the Bradford District. We have a Teaching Partnership with the University of Bradford and Bradford College, and a supportive ASYE programme for newly qualified practitioners. Alongside this, we have a wide range of continual professional development opportunities to support your practice and develop your skills.

 

You will have:

 

  • A Social Work Degree and be registered with the Social Work England as a qualified Social Worker.
  • Experience in management and leadership roles
  • A qualified AMHP with experience of supporting and managing AMHP service delivery
  •  A strong and unwavering commitment to adult social wok practice that upholds and safeguards rights.
  • Ability to support, develop and inspire other
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on the information available, ensuring effective relationships with other professionals and social workers and their commitment to supporting people with mental health problems.
